Our Story
HUMBLE BEGINNINGS
A small, Bible-centered church rooted in the Grand Marais community and committed to faithfully living out God’s Word.
How It Began
Growing in faith together
LightHouse Fellowship Church has its roots in a small group of believers who desired to gather around God’s Word, encourage one another, and grow in faith together.
The church traces its beginnings back to a Mennonite couple who opened their home and welcomed others into a simple, Scripture-centered fellowship. What began as a small gathering has, over time, become a steady presence in the Grand Marais community.
Though the setting has changed, the heart of the church has remained the same: a commitment to biblical teaching, genuine relationships, and a shared desire to follow Christ.
Rooted in Grand Marais
Located in the harbor town of Grand Marais, Michigan, the church reflects the character of the community itself: steady, welcoming, and grounded.
LightHouse Fellowship Church serves both year-round residents and seasonal visitors, offering a place to gather, worship, and find encouragement regardless of where someone is coming from.
The church also serves as a place of support in times of need, including providing shelter during power outages and natural disruptions within the community.
Looking Ahead
Become part of our story
As LightHouse Fellowship Church continues forward, its mission remains unchanged: to glorify God, to faithfully teach His Word, and to be a light within the community.
Whether someone is exploring faith for the first time or has followed Christ for many years, the church seeks to provide a place where people are welcomed, known, and encouraged in their walk with Him.
