Our Beliefs

John 14:6

"Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father except through Me."

God — Father, Son, and Holy Spirit

God, known to us as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, desires to restore the relationship broken by humanity’s sinfulness, dysfunction, and spiritual separation. The Son came in human form as Jesus the Christ for this mission, and the Holy Spirit is given to help Jesus’ followers in their walk with God.

Genesis 1–3; John 1:9–14; John 10:7–42; John 15:26; Ephesians 3:2–12; Philippians 2:5–11

Jesus Christ

Jesus, the unique Son of God, redeemed humanity through His life, teachings, death on the cross, and resurrection. He offers true and fulfilling life to all who, in faith, trust, obey, and follow Him.

The Church and Christian Life

As a congregation of believers, we are part of God’s family—people responding to the Holy Spirit’s call to turn from sin and follow Christ. We receive water baptism and practice spiritual disciplines that draw us closer to Him. With the Spirit’s help, we seek to conform our values, attitudes, words, and actions to Christ.

The Authority of Scripture

We take the Bible seriously as the highest written authority for faith and life. Jesus Christ is the center of Scripture. The Old Testament points forward to Christ, the Gospels reveal Him, and the apostles’ writings point to the Scriptures, His Kingdom, and the life of the Church.

Worship, Fellowship, and Growth

We meet regularly to worship, pray, celebrate, share in the Lord’s Supper, and hear God’s Word through the Holy Spirit. These gatherings provide mutual encouragement, counsel, and spiritual growth as we build up the body of Christ. Together, we seek the Holy Spirit’s guidance to discern God’s direction for our lives.

John 14:23–26; Luke 22:7–20; Romans 12:1–5; 1 Corinthians 11:23–26; Hebrews 10:23–25

Allegiance to God’s Kingdom

Our relationship with Christ empowers us to trust God in every area of life. We give our highest allegiance to God and His Kingdom. While we respect and pray for governing authorities, we do not give to culture or government the devotion that belongs to God alone. With His grace, humility, and wisdom, we are called to live out and proclaim His truth.

The Global Church and Christian Mission

Christ’s worldwide body of believers transcends nationality, race, class, gender, and language. Rather than conforming to culture, we respond to God’s call by:

  • Obeying the two greatest commandments
  • Being peacemakers who reflect God’s love and justice
  • Forgiving freely
  • Loving and praying for enemies
  • Stewarding God’s creation
  • Serving others with our resources
  • Living out God’s vision for family
  • Inviting all people to follow Christ

Genesis 1:26–31; Matthew 5:43–48; Matthew 25:14–46; Romans 12:14–21; Galatians 3:26–29

In Conclusion

We expect to mature individually and corporately as we are filled, led, and empowered by the Holy Spirit; we increasingly reflect God’s image, anticipating Christ’s return and the fulfillment of God’s Kingdom.

Ephesians 4:22-24; Revelation 22:12-17

All Scripture is inspired by God and beneficial for teaching, for rebuke, for correction, for training in righteousness; so that the man or woman of God may be fully capable, equipped for every good work.
